Recently I was going over some blog analytics and decided it would be interesting to find out what my top DIY recipe posts were since I started blogging almost 7 years ago! I was surprised to see what popped up! I thought it would be fun to share those because they are truly the posts with the most traffic, comments and the most people that have made the product. I’m also going to share my personal top DIY recipes that I believe are the most effective and enjoy making over and over!
1.DIY Hyaluronic Acid Serum
I’m actually not too surprised at this DIY. Making a hyaluronic acid serum is easy, affordable and a great addition to any skin type’s skin care routine! I love adding a water-based hyaluronic acid serum to my regime because the product actually acts as a vehicle to drive facial oils and creams deeper into the skin. I love that with hyaluronic acid you get an instant plump of the skin as well. Depending on your skin type, sometimes you can get away with this type of serum as your one and only moisturizer. It’s light and a great source of hydration for the skin!
2.DIY Belly Butter
I am surprised at this recipe. It’s an excellent recipe and I would recommend it for anyone who is pregnant, especially if you can afford to add helichrysum essential oil. However, my pregnant audience doesn’t make up a large percentage of readers-lol! If you are pregnant, not only will this intensive butter keep your skin well nourished so that it can more easily stretch, the ingredient are meant to prevent and even fade existing stretch marks!
3.Brow Thickening Serum
I forgot how popular this 2 ingredient brow growth serum was at the time I posted it. However, I have since recreated this recipe HERE after finding new and more effective oils for brow hair growth. In fact, I just made it a month ago for myself and had forgotten how effective and fast it works! This earlier recipe is very simple and is still worth your while but I do recommend checking out the new and improved one.
4.Turmeric Brightening Yogurt Mask
I have no clue why this mask is as popular as it is! NO CLUE. Not saying it’s a bad recipe, it’s just a simple mask with ingredient you can find in your kitchen. Turmeric is known for it’s benefits for the skin and I absolutely love a yogurt mask. This mask will turn your face orange and requires a good cleanse afterwards.
5.So Simple Spray Deodorant
This recipe is currently my top recipe post and has been for over a year. I do love this spray deodorant. Not only is it easy to make, it’s very effective and a great product to carry with you through out the day for freshening up! As you can see from the recipe, you can whip it up in seconds with minimal ingredients.
6.DIY Anti Wrinkle Eye Stick
This is a great recipe. There is an updated version but the original is a favorite among many readers who love it’s solid form and even use it all over the face! HERE is the updated version (that I also sale HERE) that is in liquid form and easier to make.
Now, it’s time for my favorite DIY recipes! I didn’t put these in any order. These are the recipes I’ve made over and over and find them the most effective!
- Repairing Hair Oil
- Brow Growth Serum on Steroids
- DIY Geranium Rosehip Anti Aging Cleansing Balm
- DIY Firming Body Oil
- DIY MultiPurpose Gym Spray
- DIY Makeup Primer and Setting Spray
- DIY Cheek & Brow Highlighter
- Homemade Neosporin
- DIY Dry Skin Mask
I hope you’ve enjoyed knowing which DIYs are the most popular! I was really surprised by a couple and not so much by others. It’s fun to look back and remember the days when this blog was more popular and I was in my hay day discovering so many new ways to make skin care! I’m so incredibly thankful for this blog and hope to have it forever. I always joke-I’ll continue to post recipes whether anybody makes them or not!
