What’s the one beauty product you can’t live without? Mine would be mascara. Since I’ve been on my natural journey, I am always on the hunt for safe mascara that thickens, lengthens and stays put. This can be quite the tall order for a natural mascara but I’m thrilled to say, I’ve found one! I have been using mascara by Lily Lolo for about a year now and couldn’t be happier. The first time I used it, it seemed like I wasn’t using a natural mascara due to how my lashes looked after just one coat!
Once upon a time, my ride or die “natural” mascara was Gifted by Tarte Cosmetics. I still love this mascara for occasional use but a reader pointed out to me that it contains the dreaded propylene glycol which definitely should be avoided. So once I discovered that, I began trying different natural mascaras. A very close runner up to Gifted is 100% Pure’s Ultra Lengthening Mascara. However, once I tried Lily Lolo’s mascara, I was sold. The lengthening and thickening I can achieve with just one coat rivals every mascara I’ve ever tried, natural or not.
Lily Lolo’s mascara not only boosts my lashes, it does not end up on the skin under my eyes. It wears well all day long and is easy to remove at the end of the day.
I will say that I feel it tends to dry out more quickly then other mascaras. I always add a drop of lavender essential oil to it as soon as I open a new tube. This will help extend the life. In fact, read THIS post and find out the nasty truth behind eye lashes and why you should always add a drop of mascara no matter what mascara you use.
I plan on trying more from Lily Lolo. I’ve tried THIS lip pencil and my mother has tried their lipstick. I love my lip pencil but my mother’s lipstick was a bit soft. Next on my list to try is THIS eye shadow palette.
If you’re not using a safe mascara, now you have no reason not to start! Wearing natural eye products is very important since harmful ingredients can effect your eyes. I highly recommend trying Lily Lolo’s mascara!
xx, Jenni

Hi Jenny
Thank you for your blog on all natural makeup and skin care. I have made a few and they are easy and excellent to use. I am vety interested in the mascara. I have very hooded eyelids, I have not found any regardless of cost that don’t give me “panda eyes”. I am a young 70 and would like to give Lily Lolo a go. Can I buy it online as I live in Australia. Great info thank you.
Maeve
Maeve-Thank you so much!! I have hooded eyes and deal with “panda eyes” as well. And yes, they do ship to Australia!!
