I’ve been using 1 cleaner for many, many years now. I started using it even before kids-My mom got me a bottle, urging me to rid out my chemical filled cleaners probably a decade ago! Yes, my mother is to thank for starting me on this non-toxic journey. She was way ahead of her time back then! Because I’m such a penny pincher (except when it comes to handbags :/) TKO Orange really appealed to me because one bottle will lasts 6 mos.-1 year! It’s super concentrated so unless you need it to remove something like sticker residue, you only use a few tablespoons in water. I must say too-this is not a sponsored post. I won’t get one penny from this post. I just got a new bottle last week and it dawned on me it was time to share the wealth!
TKO is used to clean my floors (wood and tile), pet stains (carpet), all surfaces, sinks, baths and toilets. I don’t mention my showers because I should be shot for how long I wait to clean them and by the time I finally do, I stupidly use the hard stuff-#totalfail #justbeinghonest. TKO orange is 100% natural and made from orange peels! It contains no harmful chemicals and is safe to use around pets and children. It’s an incredible de-greaser as well as all purpose cleaner!
What is Orange TKO?
Orange TKO is an emulsifier made from the peel of the orange. D’limonene is the active ingredient that gives citrus cleaners the punch. Through a double distillation process, d’limonene is separated from the orange oil, removing the acidity, leaving Orange TKO with a neutral pH. This double distillation process preserves the organic integrity of Orange TKO. Orange TKO is not corrosive, and leaves no residue. Two environmentally friendly (EPA approved) surfactants are added to allow d’limonene to blend with water. Surfactants are also wetting agents, which gives TKO more cleaning strength.
How I use TKO in my home-
TKO can literally clean every nook and cranny of your home. It all depends on the proportions of TKO and water that you use. Because I live among 2 little ones and 4 animals, I like to use a strong mixture for peace of mind. But for glass surfaces and granite, I have another spray bottle with less TKO vs. water to avoid streaks. I use TKO undiluted when removing sticky stuff-like taking labels off of glass bottles-works like a charm! It also has saved my girl’s bottoms a few times because 99% of the time removes marker and crayon marks. It even is great with spilled candle wax. I occasionally add some to my washer for added freshness! I’ve also used it to unclog drains! You can also mix it with baking soda for a grit to clean yucky sinks!
The Many Uses of TKO-
- Disinfects All surfaces
- Cleans Toilets
- Cleans Baths and Showers
- Lifts Laundry Stains
- Freshens Washing Machines
- De-clogs Drains
- Cleans Indoor Plants
- Spot Cleans Carpet
- Removes Grease and Goo
- Freshens air
- Eliminates Skunk Odor
- Cleans Jewelry
- Cleans Ovens
- Eliminates Hard Water and Film on Dishes
It’s about time I shared this little nugget. It really is pretty easy to convert your cleaning supplies over to safer products-or product I should say! Cleaning products are some of the most hazardous products you can use. I’ve been using Orange TKO for over a decade now and I know you’re going to love it as much as I do!
Find Orange TKO HERE.
Oh wow, thanks Jenni! This sounds so great! I have used a concentrated cleaning solution from DoTerra that I like. Branch Basics is good also. Always looking for non toxic options! And I hear you about the shower!
Elizabeth-Yeah, there are several other options but what’s funny is that I’ve never tried a thing but Orange TKO! I guess I go by-if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
I just wanted to say Jenni I love your blog and everything, your DIY skin care and all. I have been following you and making and buying your ingredients to make many of your DIY products for a couple of years now. You are so inspiring. Thank you 🙂
Jojo!! Thank you so much!! I love hearing this.
I just came across your name and blog. Very cool! I am an artisan like youtself, making goat milk soaps, lotions, and natural sprays. TKO sounds great, just beware everyone who has cats…citrus oils and cats do not mix. Keep cats away. Cats’ cannot metabolize citrus oils, it poisons them. Not that anyone would have the cat drink this stuff, but if the house area is wet with TKO and cats get it our their skin or tootsies…they do what they do, they clean themselves, ingesting the citrus oils. Not saying do not buy, but just giving a heads up. Just Careful cleaning.
Enjoying your blogs! Love how you keep people informed on health vs chemicals! We have the same mission!! Nice! Keep being awesome.
Thanks for this-I did know about cats and citrus oil and hadn’t even thought about this. It’s worth a mention for sure! Luckily it is diluted quite a bit but I agree-it should be used carefully around cats. Thanks for your kind words!!!

Hi, I have this product and you’re right it is wonderful! I need a disinfectant and I keep reading and hearing that it is in fact a disinfectant but that is not reflected on the label. I was referred to a company in Canada for the details after being told again that it is a disinfectant. I left two messages with no response. I do need one in my home at this time due to sickness and although I have been using this product I have been using a disinfectant on portions of my home as well. Can someone please send me an email verification that this is a disinfectant or tell me where I can find some proofbof this.
Thank you 😊
Can any one tell me if you can use orange tko for washing clothes in a washing machine? And if you can, how much do you use? I thank you in advance for your response.
A few years back I used Orange TKO for my organic cleaning business. Worked like a charm, and cleaned everything, and left a fresh orangey scent that wasn’t overpowering like other chemicals. Great stuff.
I gave used Tko orange cleaner for years, but am having a difficult time findin it.
Can you help me find where to purchase it?
Andrea-My usual source must be gone since it sends you to Whole Foods. I did find it HERE though!
