Effective, natural skin care products are popping up everywhere, making better and safer decisions easier then ever! No longer is it hard to find products with safe ingredients that are actually effective! When I first started blogging, this wasn’t the case. Natural products were so incredibly expensive and many of them did not deliver results. Today I’m sharing with you a small portion of skin care products that have been sent to me that I’ve used and loved. These are my favorites and absolutely worth sharing with you! I love supporting emerging natural beauty companies!
I’d like to state that I rarely do product reviews anymore. I found that it wasn’t enjoyable for me (or my skin) to post about a product that was sent to me. It felt a bit fake at times as well. I felt obligated to share someone’s products because they sent it to me for free and quite frankly, my skin loves my own skin care line and gets a bit dodgy when I change it up. However, over the past 5 years of blogging, I’ve learned and evolved and managed to continue to always be super transparent and honest about everything I post about. I decided it was time to open up to new product lines and see which would make the cut. The products I’m sharing today are high quality, clean and ethical products that are definitely worth your time! Plus, I’ve reached out to the companies I’ve chose to share for coupon codes for you and ended up with some good ones!
Barecat Serum
I’m loving this face serum/oil and oh my gosh, it smells so amazing. I’ve come to adore the smell of hemp oil and when you add lavender, it takes the scent to a whole other level! This serum is incredibly light. It absorbs into the skin fast and doesn’t leave your skin oily. It contains 100 MG Full Spectrum CBD Hemp Oil, MCT Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Aloe Vera Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Lavender Essential Oil.
Why you might ask would we put CBD oil on our skin? CBD oil contains high levels of omega-3 and omega-6, which are essential fatty acids used in the body. Fatty acids are necessary to maintain healthy skin — they keep the cell membrane flexible and keep your skin hydrated. Plus, CBD is a powerful anti-inflammatory that has been found to decrease the appearance of a blemish almost overnight. As inflammation is reduced, it takes along with it the redness and irritation that most people experience during a breakout. CBD also provides a significant amount of moisture to dry and cracked skin. It has even been shown to help eczema and psoriasis!
“Our CBD is THC-FREE FULL SPECTRUM, all of the other cannabinoids and terpenes remain intact and only the THC is removed. All of our CBD is farmed under organic farming practices and is regularly tested for purity and potency, in Colorado. Only the best of the best for you! “
Boost Hydrating Detox Mask
This mask-it’s exactly what my skin needed! Many exfoliants don’t have enough scrub power to really get dead skin yet some have too much and hurt your skin. This scrub is just right. I’ve been using it after a hot shower when my dead skin is already softened. You massage it into the skin then leave it on for 10 minutes. The clay pulls impurities while the aloe and shea butter moisturize. With matcha and chaga mushroom extract you get a huge boost of antioxidants! Scrubs are very hard to DIY. They seem easy but they never turn out right in my opinion. I’m very happy with this product and would purchase again!
“Boost is a clay based facial mask with apricot shell granules to gently exfoliate the skin and draw out impurities for a radiant complexion. Gentle enough for all skin types this mask also nourishes and revitalizes skin with rich anti-oxidant green tea, soothing aloe and rich shea butter.”
Zue Botanicals Skin Care Line
This is one of the most interesting skin care lines I’ve ever come across. It’s a quinoa based line because who knew-quinoa helps your skin produce more collagen! Quinoa is a superfood and jam packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids which have the power to help strengthen and restore skin!
By using quinoa in their products, Zue partners with the Paez indigenous tribes in Columbia providing them with effective tools and training to harvest organic quinoa. They are able to generate a sustainable income and provide food for their families! This partnership has helped improve the lives of more than 120 Paez families. Each box has a picture of the quinoa farmer that helped make that product!
Zue Botanicals is great for all skin types. I’m not a huge fan of cleansing my skin with anything but oil and I do love facial oils rather then creams but I must say, using this 5 piece line for about 2 weeks left my skin feeling incredibly smooth and well hydrated. The day and night creams are light and soak in well. The cleanser and toner are very gentle and smell so fresh! I love the exfoliating facial scrub-it’s very gentle so it can be used daily.
Zue Botanicals has a Giveback program where they donate a portion of every order sold to charities they support.
Fleur & Bee
This brand new line offers a nice array of anti aging products including a Vitamin C serum which I know we all love! Fleur & Bee offers a Rose Water Toner, Face Cream, Anti Aging Eye Cream and a Vitamin C Serum. All products are free of “nasties”, are vegan and of course are not tested on animals. At Fleur & Bee, they believe that natural can still be effective yet simple. Each products is packed full of botanical extracts which equals antioxidants! Both of the creams are velvety smooth, thick and absorb quickly. The Vitamin C serum not only contains Vitamin C, it also has Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid which is a big deal in anti aging skin care.
I love that with every product sold, a percentage is donated to a charity that provide menstrual hygiene products to girls in need.
I hope you’ll try at least one of these products! I love that some companies give back and support the environment. The natural beauty movement has taken off and we must continue to speak with our dollars!
Hope you’ve enjoyed hearing about these amazing products! Do you have a natural product you swear by?
