Last week I reviewed Eminence’s Probiotic Cleanser-it’s an absolute must if you are battling clogged skin. Since the cleanser was working so well and I deal with a large amount of blackheads, I decided to give the Willow Bark Serum a go. My hope was that I would have the same great experience with the serum that I did with the cleanser.
The Willow Bark Serum comes in a 1 ounce glass dropper bottle. It has a gel like consistency and a nice, subtle smell of melaleuca and licorice. It goes on easily and you only need a small amount to cover your entire face. Since I have been using it I have experienced even more smoothing and clearing! I can tell it keeps my skin calm and reduces breakouts. Usually a “clearing skin treatment” will work by drying the skin out while using chemicals to kill bacteria. After applying this serum, my skin feels a tiny bit sticky, but soon after it’s as if my skin responds to it and I can feel softness and hydration.
While I use the Willow Bark Serum all over my skin, it could be used as a spot treatment. I don’t experience large breakouts but many reviewers said that when applied to a zit in it’s beginning stages, it greatly reduced the blemish!
Willow bark helps to calm skin. Horsetail helps to softens and tone. Walnut Leaf exfoliates, anise is a powerful antioxidant and melaleuca (tea tree) essential oil to cleans and clease the skin. Biocomplex™, an antioxidant booster of Vitamins A, Ester C, E, Coenzyme Q10, and Alpha Lipoic Acid reduces the appearance of wrinkles and improve the appearance of skin. As you can see, this serum is packed full of natural but potent ingredients that really pack a punch.

Hi Jenni, I have been using both cleanser and serum for acne for a week and a half… I’m really hoping that my face is just going through detox because my skin has never looked so bad! I came off the OCM so maybe my skin has a lot of purging to do. What do you think? I also notice that a couple hours after I use the wash my face feels terribly tacky and it’s even worse after I use the serum. I live in San Diego, CA so it can’t be the humidity all though my face is certainly oily. I’m using aloe juice as a moisturizer. I’m waiting to make my review on Amazon for the products until I know what in the world it’s doing to my frustrating skin! I really want it to work as good for me as it is for you! Ha.
Hi Rhanda-My skin did the same thing. I got these weird bumps on my forehead and just felt extra bumpy all over. It’s the detox most likely. Give it another week and 1/2 and see how it looks. All the sudden my face just looked so clear. My tone evened out and the bumps were gone. Keep me posted!!
