I’m back at it at the gym after a way too long break I took during the school year. Sigh. It’s not clicking like it once did. Like not at all. In fact, it’s very close to torture these days. Sometimes it’s so hard to do the right thing, right?! As I was throwing on a minimal amount of makeup before a workout, I realized that while it was minimal, I had put quite a lot of thought (not effort) into creating this very natural look.
I must admit, I’m really not one to wear makeup to the gym but the older I get, the less I want to look so rough while working out. However, if I wore full makeup to the gym, I would personally feel like I looked desperate and insecure, so reaching a happy medium needed to happen. No offense to those of you who like to wear full makeup while working out-to each’s own. I certainly don’t judge the “pretty” women at my gym, lol! I just feel for me, I don’t want to do it. Kind of like women that can wear red lipstick all day everyday. I envy them because I sure can’t figure out how to get on that bandwagon! Anyway, I’m chasing rabbits this morning-back to my point! With 4 super natural products, I’m able to create a look that looks as if I have no makeup on but is a small step up from really having no makeup on.
This look is so simple, it did not require an actual makeup tutorial.
MyChelle Dermaceuticals SPF 50 Tint-
I love this tint. In fact, I don’t ever want to be without it. It’s a new product of MyChelle Dermaceuticals and it is perfect for “no makeup days”. It seriously smooths and evens your skin tone without being heavy. In fact, it’s super watery when you pump it into your hand probably because it’s actually oil free. It smooths over your skin in seconds and requires very little blending. It doesn’t cover blemishes well but if you’re needing to smooth out uneven skin tone or redness, this product helps greatly! SPF 50 is amazing especially if you’re working out outside or even just running to and from errands.

Au Naturale Roseate Creme Blusher–
I have just begun exploring this natural beauty company and so far, I’m really liking their products. This cream blush is a pretty pink that is very subtle. Because it’s a cream, it doesn’t give you an unnatural powder finish. I also swipe it across my lips for a hint of color and moisture! It stays put and does not feel overly oily on the skin.

I won’t bore you with more deep thoughts on this product since I dedicated a whole post to it HERE but I do love this product for it’s ability to give your brows such a bold, yet natural boost. Brows can so often look drawn in and that’s the last look I want when going to the gym. I use this product in between brow dyes and it works wonders and stays put.

100% Pure Ultra Lengthening Mascara–
Mascara makes such a big difference for most of us. It softens everyone’s look. Plus, my eye lashes aren’t exactly black. At the gym, 1 coat is all I’ll do for fear of sweat wreaking havoc and having the dreaded raccoon look which so easily happens with natural mascara formulations. 100% Ultra Lengthening Mascara is so far, my favorite natural mascara and I’ve tried a load of them. Using facial oils, can really make wearing mascara hard so I use a translucent powder under my eyes, on the lashes and on my lids to soak up any oil. This has helped immensely, especially at the gym.

So there you have it, 4 natural products that are healthy and give you a “I’m not wearing any makeup, I’m just naturally pretty” look that is perfect for not just the gym but would work for an everyday look for those of us not wanting to wear full makeup daily.
I highly suggest trying all 4 of these products. They are natural and high quality. While all 4 fall under my affiliations, this is not a sponsored post. It just dawned on my yesterday while getting ready to work out that my gym makeup routine was really working well!
xx, Jenni
P.S. Anyone love to workout? I used to. I just can’t seem to get that back. What do you do? Any advice?!
I am totally obsessed with the 100% Pure mascara too! And I usually use the eyebrow gel…but I have the one you have too. I am one of those people that cannot leave the house without mascara!
I too don’t like working out. The key for me is doing a workout that requires some concentration to distract myself from the discomfort. Doing something different to workout each time helps with this. Everyone’s preference is different, but dance workouts involving choreography keep me focused on learning the moves and I think less about my muscles burning or wanting to catch my breath.
I find them on YouTube and do them in my living room, so there’s lots of variety for toning muscles or cardio, and it’s free too. Lots of gyms have group classes too.
If you’re looking for high impact overnight results this might not be the best workout choice, but in a few months of about three 45 minute workouts per week, I noticed better tone, a significant reduction in cellulite, and less excuse making to avoid working out.
Blair-Thanks so much for sharing! I need to explore You Tube more! Any suggestions?
Hi,
I don’t wear makeup when going to the gym because I think it may cause an acne breakout. However, I want to give it a try because there could be no harm in trying. If makeup during gym session will cause acne breakout then I’ll stop using. Thanks for sharing.
Jenny-I’m glad you found this helpful!
Thanks Jenni for the post. I just followed your tips, and I look amazing even after my workout. I am in love with the SPF tint; it helps to hide the uneven skin tone and protects my skin from the sun. A useful post & definitely worth sharing.
Helpful post! My question is when the skin is warmer, there is more chance of product absorption like any makeup that stays on the surface will be absorbed easier. This can lead to blockages within the pores. So what would you suggest ?
You are right and I always recommend to not wear any makeup to the gym but sometimes you just need to not look so “natural”. These products are natural and safe and the next best option if you feel you need to wear something.
Thank you for the post, Jenni. I just followed your advice, and I look fantastic even after my workout. I adore the SPF tint; it conceals my uneven skin tone while still protecting my skin from the sun. A useful post that should be shared.
Thank you!!!
