This series of posts are my favorite. I love sharing 5 things that make me happy! It gives me a chance to share more about the little things that make life fun.
As you may of heard, a lot has changed lately. Since getting married 2 weeks ago, we’re all in a bit of a transition phase. It’s been challenging yet fun and exciting! It’s so nice that Rodney gets to sleep over! We tiptoed around the girls while we dated trying to set a good example so actually getting to sleep in the same bed is so nice! With Rodney came the newest member of our animal menagerie, Skye. She is a 10 year old Labrador Retriever who loves to eat anything and everything, pee over Winston’s marked territory, fart every 4 seconds and sleep with her eyes open! She and her daddy have brought a lot of extra laughs in this house! I’m so not used to having a big dog around and it’s quite a change! As you can see, Winston (who is actually 11!) is about 7lbs.
I had these bracelets made as a wedding gift. On the outside are the coordinates of home where we fell in love on the patio (read about that magical patio HERE) and on the inside is our favorite song. Go HERE to find the these bracelets. I have bought engraved cuffs before that didn’t hold up at all-these are doing great! I recommend this Etsy seller.
Little details from my stupid cheap wedding gown and a close up of the ring that tops all rings. If anyone is getting married and wants details on my gown, shoes, the girls dresses and flower crowns let me know-I’m one cheap woman and love taking cheap and turning it into looking expensive. (hint, hint for my new project-more below!) Oh and I don’t have our professional pics yet so stay tuned for those!
I’m obsessed with the band Lord Huron. I discovered them via 13 Reasons Why (a Netflix series on teen suicide). If you watched it, you couldn’t have missed the song from prom. The song, The Night We Met was so alluring to me that I had to explore the band and their other songs. It was instant obsession and I’ve been dying to see them live. Rodney found that they were going to be at a musical festival in Dallas and off we went! It was incredible and we already have tickets for a show in October!
I’m a succa for succulents! LOL!!! I love creating succulent gardens and this one is by far my favorite this year!!
Technically this is the sixth thing in this These 5 Things post but above is a sneak peak on a project I’m working on and I can’t wait to get it off the ground. This little side project is giving me so much creative energy and while it’s a departure from health and DIY skin care, it’s another side of me that makes me giddy! No worries though-for those of you not interested in fashion and beauty, Jenni Raincloud will stay as is!
