Me to We is a cause I just have to share. I discovered this powerful company when I received a Rafiki bracelet in my Good Being beauty box a few months ago. I have since bought more bracelets and learned much more about this inspiring organization.
Me to We came out of the necessity to fund Free the Children-an organization founded by brothers, Craig and Marc Kielburger. They have a passion for changing the world by encouraging young people to make a difference. They provide mission trips for kids under the age of 18 to go overseas to help provide education and other necessities for under privileged communities. By purchasing these very affordable bracelets, you are helping fund a organization that is making a huge difference. Not only that, but Me to We is also empowering women to provide for their family. Each bracelet is beaded by a Kenyan mother working to make a living. Each bracelet also provides water, education, healthcare and food for 1 month for 1 child.
OUR VISION:
These simple but beautiful bracelets are the perfect gift. Each piece is uniquely made by a mother who learned from her mother who learned from her mother. With each piece of jewelry, she is earning her way to a better life for herself and her children. Me to We empowers her to take control of her life, and change the future of her family.
I love the bracelets I bought-They are well made and I love this colorful look. Besides the rafiki bracelets, I also bought a bracelet that has beading, a chain, tassel and gold medallion. It’s my new favorite bracelet that I’ll probably wear everyday! Find it HERE. Me to We has a lot of different styles of jewelry as well as greeting cards, bags/purses, things for the home, clothes, water bottles and backpacks. Each item is hand made and benefits a child.
Rafiki means friend in Swahili. Each rafiki bracelet is made with glass beads beaded onto a 48′ stretchy cord. You can wear it as a bracelet, necklace, anklet, headband and more! Every Rafiki bracelet makes a life-changing impact in a Free The Children community, helping a family break the cycle of poverty by providing school supplies, access to clean water, healthy meals, financial tools and health care. I have 4 rafikis and I’m not done! As Me to We says, “Wear your passion”.
Another cool thing about Me to We?? You can track your impact-there’s a code on the back of the package of your bracelet. By entering the code, you can find out exactly what your bracelet is doing for a child. This connects the giver to the need in a way that makes helping so real.
ME to WE creates options for consumers like you who want to make informed decisions about what you experience and buy, knowing your actions will help empower people and transform lives, making the world a better place.
I hope you’ll check Me to We out. Oh and don’t forget Mother’s Day is right around the corner-these bracelets are perfect! I especially love THIS stack of bracelets! It’s a small action but by supporting a good cause you are part of change.
xx, Jenni
LOVE the one with the tassel!!! I am crazy for tassels. And love jewelry that has a story of some sort. Great gift idea. Thanks Jenni!
Elizabeth! I know, I love it more every time I wear it!
What a beautiful way to adorn your wrist! These “Me to We” bracelets are a stylish reminder to make a difference. Thanks for sharing!
I applaud your support for Me to We and the meaningful impact it’s making. Their mission to empower people to shift from “me” to “we” thinking is truly commendable. The idea of each bracelet providing water, education, healthcare, and food for a child is heartwarming, and the fact that these bracelets are handmade by Kenyan mothers adds a beautiful personal touch. It’s not just jewelry; it’s a symbol of positive change. Thanks for sharing this inspiring cause, especially with Mother’s Day around the corner, these bracelets indeed make thoughtful gifts with a purpose.
