Creepy Chic Halloween Decor!

Sharing is caring!

Every October I live up to my blog name-this year I came in hot-maybe a little too hot! I’ll admit, this year’s spooky chic Halloween decor is a little over the top compared to year’s in the past. With 569 black candles, dead bugs, floating candles, dead roses and a swarm of black butterflies, this Halloween my freak flag is happily flapping in the wind.

If you’re familiar with my past spooky decor, you know I like to change up the art in my wall frames. This year I pulled out some Rosemary’s Baby as well as Elizabeth Montgomery on a bear skin rug (Bewitched) and a gorgeous still from Bela Lugosi’s Dracula.

Earlier in the year I painted the fireplace black in an attempt to bring the outdated stone up to date. When in doubt, paint it black is my motto. My spray painted black butterflies don’t pop quite as much as I’d like but regardless, it gives a spooky feel.

I brought in a murder of crows in last year’s flower arrangement and added quite a few more black candles to the piano.

I tried the Harry Potter’s floating candles. However, poking holes in the ceiling was a no go. I ended up using white thumb tacks and using a window ledge to secure them. It isn’t quite as magical as hanging them from the ceiling. I used THESE candles. I have since heard people have used Command tape.

I also bought THESE skeleton hands and spray painted them gold. They turned out really good and so cheap!
