Coola’s Travel Kit Review

Sharing is caring!

Coola Review I’ve been a fan of the skincare/suncare line Coola for a while now.  Coola has a range of products that either protect you from the sun or replenish and heal your skin after the sun.  The best thing about Coola is that their products are free of parabens, petroleum and phthalates.  They use organic ingredients that nourish the skin with vitamins and antioxidants.  I have used THIS SPF moisturizer on and off for over a year now and have ZERO complaints.

Recently I decided to give a few more Coola products a try.  I had been using THIS trusted sunblock on the girls and I but while it is organic and long lasting, it left us looking like ghosts!  You know that pasty, creamy white appearance natural sunblocks leave?  It was impossible to blend it in without getting really aggressive with our skin.  I still trust this sun care line and would still suggest it for it’s natural ingredients and effective sun protection, I was just ready to try out a new method of application.

I was particularly interested in Coola’s Sports Spray SPF 30.  My girls are active and want to be in the pool daily.  I needed something that was going to hold up to a lot of swimming and activity.   I ended up with THIS travel kit which also gave me more of the daily moisturizer, a lip balm and an after sun recovery lotion!  First off, I love the spray.  It did not disappoint.  It sprays on evenly and could not be easier.  I reapply it at least once an hour if they are in the pool but an application is done in seconds flat.  It smells fresh and the sprayer works perfect!  The After Sun lotion is the perfect consistency and really soothes the skin.  I try to apply this on all of us each time we get out of the sun!  It’s so important to replenish your body.  The sun zaps you of moisture.  You should always drink loads of water and replenish the skin via lotion, oil or aloe after being in the sun to avoid dehydration.  This lotion is a great summer tool!  The lip balm is great-I feel good applying it before going out in the sun-it’s a thick consistency and really feels like it’s protecting me.  I’ve already reviewed in the SPF 30 Face Lotion.  It’s still a favorite of mine.  I love it because it’s light but provides a high SPF.  Go HERE for a more in-depth review of this lotion.

The items in the travel kit can be bought individually.  I think the kit, while the sizes are smaller then the originals is perfect for those of you that aren’t constantly using sun protection, all though, the sizes were surprisingly large for being “travel sized”.  It’s also perfect for vacations!  It’s actually a $75 value so you really are getting a great deal!  The Coola travel kit is a thumbs up from me!

  1. I’m a huge Jenni fan and LOVE her blogs! (Thank you Jenni for all you do!) I looked at the Coola Sport SPF 30. Having a parent who died from melanoma and having had cancer myself, I’m very particular about sunscreen and have tried countless brands/products in addition to reading many articles on the subject. Jenni, I’m wondering what your thoughts are about the Coola Sport. Looks like it only uses chemical blocks for SPF (including octinoxate), rather than the physical blocks (zinc oxide or titanium oxide), with the latter reportedly being safer and less toxic. Here’s a link to the EWG article that covers this topic very briefly:
I’m sure there are many that find the Coola brand works well for them (their spf for face uses physical blocks, yay!). I personally only use a product with just zinc oxide, non-nano particle size, as the active ingredient. I have found a few really good products out there too with zinc oxide as the active ingredient (made with organic ingredients and without retinyl palmitate, fragrance, nano particles, dimethicone, parabens, etc.) that will not make your skin look ghostly white. 🙂
