Skinny Summer Sangria for Those Hot Patio Nights!

Sharing is caring!

Healthy Sangria RecipeSummertime is upon us and I’m ready for some warm nights on the patio!  Normally I am not a sangria fan.  I just don’t love tons of sugar in my cocktails and I’m not a red wine fan either.  After I brought home a bottle of white Zinfandel and realized it was too sweet for me, instead of throwing it out, I decided to figure out if I could re purpose it into a lighter, crisper drink!  I’m so happy with how this turned out and it will definitely be a summer staple for sure!

Healthy Sangria Recipe

What You Need:

  • 1 bottle of a sweet light wine (Rose, White Zinfandel, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay)
  • 1 bottle of Sparkling Water (Perrier, Pellegrino, Club Soda) Add as little or as much-depends on how strong you want your drink.
  • 1 sliced lemon
  • 1 sliced lime
  • 1 sliced apple
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2-1 cup organic raspberries

Directions:

**Throw all ingredients in a pitcher. duh…

>>It’s preferable that you put your mixture in the fridge for an hour before serving.  This will allow the ingredients to blend and become more prominent.  If you don’t have an hour, throw in some ice, stir and drink!<<

There you go!  After drinking a few of these, you won’t be drunk or bloated with that heavy sugary drink!  And don’t skimp on those cinnamon sticks, those make the drink!  Whip up a batch of this, call a few friends and enjoy!!
