Have yellowing teeth is a huge No-No when you’re on the hot pursuit to looking young and fresh. Yeah, yellow teeth just won’t do. So many daily foods and drinks contribute to yellowing teeth that it’s wise to find a quick and easy way to brighten teeth up without breaking the budget or overloading on toxins!
I love this teeth whitening recipe from author Sophie Uliano from Gorgeouslygreen.com. She’s my DIY skin care guru! She shares a great tip on naturally whitening your teeth without chemicals. I’ve been looking for a way to naturally whiten my teeth and this is so easy and fun!
Sophie’s Beauty Recipe: Pearly Whites
Ingredients:
1 Large Strawberry
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
Directions:
Strawberries contain malic acid, which whitens your teeth. Just mash up the large strawberry with the 1/2 tsp baking soda. Dip in your toothbrush and give your teeth a good brush, with your super-natural toothpaste.
Neat! At least this doesn’t involve using hydrogen peroxide, which most DIY teeth whitening recipes I’ve seen on the net has. Going to try this over the weekend when I shop for my groceries. Hopefully I can find strawberries when I do.

Great Darlene! Let me know how it goes!
How often should this be done? I tried to check her site and couldn’t find anything.
Thanks!
Jennifer-I would say once a week or as often as needed.
WOW just what I was looking for. Came here by searching for affordable teeth whitening
Wow, I wish I’d known I could mix strawberry with baking soda for teeth whitening a long time ago… I’ve been using baking soda for that for basically ever, and you’re telling me I could be adding strawberry to it to not only make it work better but probably make it taste better too. Oh well, now I know!
