Looking for an easy way to combat a sedentary lifestyle? Me too and I’ve found just the solution. The Flexispot desk bike is affordable and while it’s not high impact, it gets my blood pumping which is so important for optimal health! As I write this, I’m exercising away!
I want to preface this post by saying it is not sponsored. In fact, I tried to pitch a full blog post and social media posts to the company in exchange for a free bike with no luck-lol! I was so interested in the bike that I bought one anyway hoping and praying it would be the answer I’ve been searching for. I’m happy to say, I LOVE this bike!
I’ve been very candid about my complete lack of interest in exercising. I used to love cardio and was religious about getting 3o minutes, 3x a week. A lot of life happened and I just wasn’t going to spend any free time I got doing something I didn’t absolutely have to do. I’m full of a million reasons why I stopped going to the gym and let me tell you-those reasons are legit. I’m a homebody who does not enjoy most social environments and the time wasted to and from the gym was almost an hour. I needed to find something I could do at home and committing to DVDs or even walking around the block just never seemed to last. I’m pretty sure some of you are relating.
First off, this bike is affordable and on Amazon Prime. It arrives within a few days and almost completely assembled. You just have to insert the desk. Assembly took 2 minutes. This is a huge plus. My last exercise equipment attempt was an elliptical that literally came in a million pieces and took me over 3 hours to assemble and I still never used it!
The Flexispot bike is visually minimal which is a must in small spaces. One of the best things about it is that it’s on rollers so it’s easily rolled to the side or in a closet when not in use. I am pretty picky about how my home looks and I don’t mind the looks of this bike at all.
You might be wondering how easy is it to work and pedal. It’s so easy. The first night it arrived I ended up staying on it for an hour hardly even noticing that much time had gone by. You get used to typing and pedaling almost immediately and I believe the pedaling helps many people with focus. It’s great for the ADHD brain.
On a typical work day, I will be on the bike for 1.5 hours but I could be on it even longer without out much strain. The resistance is adjustable so staying on it for long amounts of time is absolutely doable for any level of fitness.
One of the best things about this bike is that it is completely quiet. There is zero sound. I did get a clicking sound coming from the seat last week but I was able to remedy it by tightening a couple of screws.
The only drawback this bike has is the seat. After a couple of days of being on the bike, my tailbone begins to hurt. I’ve combatted this by sitting on a towel while I bike for longer periods and lowering the seat. I’ve heard around Amazon that Flexispot has not made a padded seat and the padded bike seats that are on Amazon don’t fit well. I think it’s only a matter of time before a comfier seat will be available.
The Flexispot desk bike has an LCD display that tracks time, RPM, calories and mileage. It also has a cup holder. The seat and desk are adjustable. You can also use the desk without the bike since the desk can be adjusted forward over the seat. The bike is very heavy and sturdy but with the rollers, you can easily take it where you want. I can’t wait for cooler weather to be able to roll it out on the patio!
I truly think this is something anyone struggling with getting enough physical activity in their day would love. I think kids could benefit from it as well as seniors. Think about all that video game playing, texting and Netflix watching young adults love to do…
I can’t say enough good things about this bike. I’ve had this bike since July and have consistently used it every day I work. The quality is great and like I’ve said, even though I keep the resistance extremely low, I can still feel my heart rate rise and blood pumping through my legs! Good circulation in the legs is vital and I don’t have much.

Have you considered this bike or do you have an exercise you love?

Omg, so fascinated by this idea. I get plenty of exercise…my part time job is extremely physical, I walk my dogs, and I do a quick resistance workout almost every day. I am a person who has a hard time standing still. So I feel like this could actually help me be more productive, since I think it would be easier to focus when I am writing. Plus I agree…love the look of it and wouldn’t hate it in my house lol.
Elizabeth-I just love it and I do believe that by pedaling, it seems to get the brain working. I think you’d love it. Plus, it’s not bulky and ugly and I love that it’s on rollers!
