The Ultimate in Facial Serums!

Spark Naturals Radiance Facia Serum

I’ve found probably the best facial serum ever.  This is a simple serum but it goes to show when quality ingredients are used, beautiful things can happen.  This serum contains the BEST of the BEST essential oils.  It literally doesn’t get any better then rose essential oil (or expensive) and I’ve found frankincense and geranium while gentle, are really great for smoothing and brightening the skin.  This facial serum is intended to reduce wrinkles and improve texture and elasticity.

Spark Naturals sent me this serum about a month before my wedding.  As many of you know, I have been dealing with perioral/ocular dermatitis and was somewhat concerned how it would look for the big day.  This serum felt like an oasis in the desert.  My skin soaked it up and immediately felt nourished.  Miraculously my skin was smooth (at least for me) on that day and has continued to stay happy.

I love Rosehip Seed Oil and add it to many of my anti aging DIY skin care formulations because of it’s amazing ability to return the skin to a more youthful state.

Exciting Benefits of Rosehip Seed Oil:

  • Absorbs quickly and deeply into the skin
  • Regenerates skin cells
  • Reduces the appearance of scars
  • Fades sun/age spots
  • Encourages collagen production
  • Rejuvenates the skin due to it’s high linoleic and alpha-linoleic acid composition
  • Accelerates wound healing
  • Has tightening (astringent) properties
  • Brightens skin

Benefits of Rose Essential Oil:

Rose essential oil while being extremely effective at healing acne, is also great for opening the pores allowing other ingredients to penetrate deeper.  Rose essential oil is very high in antioxidants which help fight aging.  It helps to calm inflammation and is very gentle for sensitive skin types.

Vitamin E, Rosehip Seed Oil, Lavender, Frankincense, Geranium, Melaleuca, Helichrysum and Rose Essential Oils.

Radiance Facial Serum Spark Naturals

I do not use an actual moisturizer with this serum.  I cleanse, tone and use this oil for my moisturizer.  It thoroughly hydrates and works well under makeup.  You could use your normal moisturizer after you let this serum soak in though.

My skin is happy and nourished and I will be replacing my bottle once I finish!  I highly recommend it for every skin type.  It’s so affordable and you can rest assured that the ingredients are high quality and powerful!  Did I mention this facial serum smells amazing too!

Don’t oils just sit on top of the skin? This would help with TWELL but not much else.

Andrea-No! The skin soaks oils in especially rosehip. You just don’t need to use much, if you do the skin will leave most of it on the surface.

This serum sounds amazing! I love rosehip seed oil as well and like to use it as my moisturizer. 🌹
I have a question regarding the correct sequence of skincare products. Many people advise to layer products from thinnest to thickest- meaning that you use facial lotion before serum/oils due to the lotion being made of mostly water. What are your thoughts about this? I usually just use RSO or another lovely oil as my moisturizer, but I am always curious as to the proper way to layer lotion and oil products and want to make sure that my skin is benefiting as much as possible from my skincare regiment.
Thank you so much for all your time!

Wow, this sounds amazing. And totally agree you would not need to moisturize after this…rose hip oil is all you need.
I’m currently using something I love but may need to check this out. Curious if you are doing any type of toner before applying.

Elizabeth-I do. I usually just make one out of witch hazel and a floral water or aloe but lately I’ve been using a vitamin C toner that was sent to me. I’m about to review it-it’s from a company that checks your DNA then customizes your skin care. Stay tuned!

Well I have PD too, as well as wrinkles, so I took your word for it and got this serum. I’m not quite sure what to think. I use it at night before bed, after I use Thayer’s Witch Hazel. The Spark is ultra thick, for one, so I can’t see how you can spread a thin layer of it without stretching your skin (??) , and as for the smell…. not a fan. It’s a combo of fishy/tea tree. Idk what makes it smell fishy…especially by the time I wake up – even my daughter passing by my room said “what smells fishy – like an omega fish oil smell…does yours have that? I don’t smell any rose. I’ll keep using it to see what happens with my PD.

Linnea-So weird on the fishy smell. Mine has an odd smell-one i’m not used too but it doesn’t offend me at all. I do find it thick but I use enough to easily cover my neck and face. Have tried patting it in? That might be easier. I wonder if your serum has gone rancid? You maybe should contact Spark Naturals and see if they’ll send a new one. I certainly don’t smell the serum when I wake up. Somethings up with that. Did you see my 2nd post on PD where I’ve found great relief with the Dr. Hauschka Ice Plant Cream? That stuff is a miracle. I swear by it for PD. My PD is gone. I’m sure it will come back at some point but for now, I’m good. It all turned around with that cream. Go HERE to read it. Good luck!

Thank you so much Jenni for your reply. As soon as I read your piece on PD and Dr H, I tried to get the Ice Plant Cream. I looked for Dr Hauschka on Amazon but it is out of stock 🙁 I looked in some other places too but can’t find it. I hope Amazon brings it back. I will contact Spark and see what’s up. I’m glad to hear that you don’t think this is “normal” either – but I can’t imagine that they would make anything rancid? They are such a good company, right? Anyways, congrats on your wedding ! and Congrats on getting the PD under control…. Thanks again, Linnea

Linnea-Sometimes oils just go rancid. It’s hard to regulate it. Most likely it’s not the essential oils but the rosehip seed oil. It happens-doesn’t say anything about the company though. I’m sure they’ll want to make it right. Thank you so much!! I found the Ice Plant cream HERE. Only 1 left!!
