I wanted to introduce you to a new and innovative skin care line that I’ve been using for the last month. This skin care line is called LifeDNA and actually analyzes your DNA in order to match you with the appropriate skin care products. Before I was introduced to LifeDNA, I didn’t know that your DNA actually contains information about your skin! Makes perfect sense that considering DNA could ultimately customize your beauty routine giving your skin exactly what it needs the most.
First and foremost-Life DNA uses organic ingredients and their products contain no parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, phthalates, GMOs, mineral oil, animal products or by-products making LifeDNA an option for us natural girls! And of course, the products are not tested on animals. That’s always one of the first things I check when deciding on what products to review.
How it Works:
- Once you purchase your kit, you are sent a DNA test. The DNA test should arrive in 3-5 days. (the DNA test is a simple cheek swab)
- Once you send back your DNA kit, it takes about 2 weeks to analyze your DNA.
- Once DNA is analyzed, your kit will be sent to you.
You can access your DNA results and why each product was chosen for you on your profile on their website. Your results will be sent in your first order as well.
The 3-piece kit which includes a cleanser, toner and moisturizer costs $199. Each product is meant to last 3-4 mos. making each product cost roughly $20 a month.
Unfortunately, LifeDNA did not send me a DNA kit to analyze my DNA so it’s hard to really tell exactly how beneficial including DNA info. could be but I did fill out a lengthy questionnaire and based on my answers, my 3 piece skin care kit was determined.
I did enjoy using the products and feel that this 3-piece set was good for my skin. I was sent the Vitamin C trio and experienced smoother skin along with a bit of detox. I always say, it’s good switch up your skin care here and there. I tend to oil cleanse and use facial oils and sometimes after a few months of that my skin needs a change.
The cleanser was a thick, foaming cleanser that thoroughly removed my makeup (even eye makeup). It left my skin feeling squeaky clean. I loved the toner the most. It was a vitamin C product as well but also contained glycolic acid. I applied it with a cotton round and felt that it helped in brightening and exfoliating my skin. The vitamin C moisturizer was light and fluffy. It did not provide as much moisture as I’m used to but I did not feel tight or dry.
I want to let you know that this is a subscription. Once you buy your first kit you will receive another kit automatically 3-4 mos. later. Shipping is always free. You can cancel this at any time. Also, they provide a 60 day money back guarantee.
Overall, I liked this product line. I really wish my DNA had been considered when my products were selected but the 3 products I was sent worked well. I probably wouldn’t allow the subscription to happen but trying it for 3 mos. is worth the DNA correlation.

Also, LifeDNA also had supplements that are based on your personal DNA. Check that out HERE.
What skin care are you using? My next skin care line will be coming in a month or so with AnnMarie Gianni. I’m excited to use it!
