Eating Raw the easy way!

I have a friend who told me something that sticks in my mind all the time.  She started eating raw and she says the brain fog cleared.  She couldn’t say enough about how much better she felt.  Raw eating is hard.  I aim to eat as much raw as possible but I don’t always succeed.  Two things I make that I eat almost daily are guacamole and salsa.  I have these 2 dips almost everyday for lunch and then follow it up with a green smoothie.  Plus, the health benefits of the good fats of an avocado and the healing properties of garlic really boost your overall health!  As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a big vegetable person so the more veggies I can blend in these 2 dips the better!  So, if you are trying to add more veggies to your day, try these two recipes!


2 ripe avacados
1/4 cup cilantro
1-2 cloves of garlic
1/2 diced tomato
1 TBSP lime juice
salt to taste
Blend ingredients except tomatoes and salt in blender.  Once creamy add tomatoes and salt.


5 ripe tomatoes
1/2-1 cup of cilantro
2 cloves of garlic
salt to taste
Blend in blender or food processor.

Of course, onions and peppers would be a great addition as well, I just don’t like either one so I don’t add them to mine.  A much healthier alternative to chips are Nut thins!  They are made from almonds and have just the right salty crunch for salsa and guacamole!  I’m pretty sure they aren’t raw, but at this point, I do what’s comfortable.  If I make it too extreme I’m setting myself up for a huge fail!  If you pair these dips with a green smoothie you will be getting a very good amount of your daily veggies!
