Do you ever experience a scent that takes you somewhere different then where you are?  Somewhere magical, comfortable, even familiar?  It doesn’t happen often but when it does you want to make sure you continue to have access to it.  This is what has happened to me with Butter Elixer’s Bhakti Body & Hair Oil.  I can’t explain it but the product as a whole has transported me.  I’ve fallen deeply in love with every aspect of it and now I’m afraid I can’t live without it!  Do I sound like I’ve flown the coop?  Maybe I have but stopping for the simple, but beautiful things in life is really what it’s all about.

Butter Elixir is a unisex skin care line that uses the highest quality oils and natural fragrances to create incredible skin care. Butter Elixir is rooted in yoga and natural healing.  Each product has a unique scent along with high quality carrier oils that penetrate quickly and deeply.  All products come in BPA free, fully recyclable containers and are cruelty free.  Each product is so beautifully simple that there are ZERO unnatural ingredients.

The Lip Balm and Butter Elixir Supreme are pictured above.

Being a creator of skin care I can not figure out why this lip balm is so special, it just is.  It feels amazing on the lips, moisturizes incredibly well and smells incredible.  It contains soy bean oil, sunflower oil, beeswax, hemp oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, cacao butter, shea butter, vitamin E, aloe vera, argan oil, vanilla and cardamom.  As you can see, it’s quite the lip balm!!   This lip balm can be used on the cuticles as well and was featured in Vogue magazine.

The Butter Elixir Supreme is a whipped concoction of the most decadent butters and oils to create a creamy moisturizer for your skin.  It contains no water so expect major results immediately.  It contains organic virgin unrefined shea butter, pure mango butter, organic extra virgin coconut oil, pure kokum butter, pure cocoa butter, walnut oil, macadamia nut oil, blood orange & patchouli pure essential oils.  I use this on wet skin right after the shower.

The body & hair oils are made with pure, natural oils and can literally be used from hair to toe!  What is so special (besides the intoxicating scent of both products) is that they absorb quickly.  Oils are the way to go when it comes to properly taking care of your skin but it can be tricky, especially in the colder months to let a body oil absorb enough to be able to put cloths on afterwards.  Both these oils absorb so nicely.  In fact, on Butter Elixir’s web site there is testimonial after testimonial of customers saying the same thing.  Makeup artist, Tom Pecheux includes Butter Elixir’s oils in his makeup case because they absorb so quickly and make foundation look flawless.  These oils can be used in the bath, as a massage oil or to moisturize the body and hair.

The Bhakti Body + Hair oil is my favorite and has a scent of jasmine, sandalwood and myrrh.  It’s a darker, moody scent that is neutral enough for men to enjoy it too.  My words can’t do it justice so I’ve included Butter Elixir’s description below:

Bhakti is a labor of love as it takes 3 months to create using a layering process. Virgin Organic Sesame oil, Jasmine, Mysore Sandalwood and Myrrh are combined slowly over the course of a month and then the entire mixture is aged for two months allowing the extracts to bind together. The result is a rich silky texture with an interweaving earthy, smokey, and sweet scent. In Sanskrit, Bhakti means devotion to oneself or something higher. The romantic quality of Jasmine paired with the deep notes of Sandalwood and Myrrh create a dynamic combination that is simply divine.

The 2nd Body + Hair oil is just as special but has a lighter, fresher scent of lavender and chamomile.  It comes in a 3 oz. and 8 oz. and contains sweet almond oil, argan oil, lavender and chamomile pure essential oils.

I’m excited to try Butter Elixir’s facial oil which was featured in Vogue, Elle and Allure.  It contains the highest quality apricot oil, rosehip oil, agan oil, rose pure essential oil.

I would highly suggest trying Butter Elixir.  In fact, these products would make a wonderful Valentine’s gift!  They would also be so perfect for an expecting mother.  I love these products and like I stated earlier-I’m afraid I can no longer live without Bhakti oil!
