I have to say, I love this DIY. Earlier in the week, I posted a recipe for mineral make up. I have used mineral make up for many years now and loved it. This year my skin has taken a huge turn. I have always had slightly oily skin but this winter I have become crazy dry. Like peeling skin, rough dry patches and make up looking pasty and uneven. In a nut shell, my skin looks really parched. Honestly, I have no clue what’s going on-hormones are my guess but none the less, it’s no good. I have come up with a spray that will set your make up, make it last longer and give a boost of moisture for a hydrated, dewy look. Read on for this super effective, yet simple recipe!
There are many make up setters out there. One in particular is Mac’s Fix +. Reviews are amazing for this product. People rave about it! So, you know me, I had to check out those ingredients!! Turns out, there’s not much to it. So, if you need a product to set your make up, and a solution to combat the dry parched look, this DIY is just for you!
DIY Finishing Spray
You must find the right spray bottle or automizer for this product. Too thick of a spray and it could leave you looking splotchy. I was excited to buy an olive oil automizer, thinking it would be a micro fine mist-it wasn’t-at all, so the hubs was happy to use it for cooking! I usually get my bottles from amazon, but the spray bottles I use are actually from Specialty Bottle. THESE are the spray bottles I am super satisfied with. You get the finest mist that works perfect for this project.
Use this finishing spray before and after applying make up. It works excellent with mineral make up but also works fine with a cream foundation.
You can use this spray to “spot clean” your make up brushes AND it makes a killer toner! Use this spray anytime through out the day to refresh your make up and give your skin a “drink”.
Spray 1-3 sprays, 8 inches from your skin. I left my pics un-edited so you could see how fresh this makes your skin look when sprayed on top of make up.
So simple, yet so effective! ENJOY!
