Diaper Rash Spray

Just today I was applying my Homemade Diaper Rash Cream on my youngest.  Once again she had a nasty bout of rash.  Even though my original experimental diaper rash cream was in a glass jar, and I reheated it and poured it into a squeeze bottle, you still have to let the cream soften in your hands then rub your hands on a very sensitive and possibly raw bottom!  Putting it in the squeeze bottle did help with contamination, but it still doesn't seem all that sanitary!  Of course, neither does … [Read more...]

Team Edward Lip Stain……..Plus A SECRET Lip Plumping Bonus!

Another rainy day on the edge of fall weather and I am indulging in a Twilight marathon and making lip balms!  I LOVE Twilight, as I have mentioned before so why not dedicate a lip balm recipe to one of the loveliest vampires Hollywood has to offer!  As an added bonus, I've added a SECRET ingredients which will plump up those lips!  I say the bigger the better when it comes to lips! DIY Perfume

I love perfume, I've worn it for as long as I can remember.  Well, come to find out, like everything else, it's toxic.  Out of all the beauty products we wear on a daily basis, perfume is the most toxic!  Artificial fragrances have all kinds of side effects.  The big one is hormone disruption!  Smelling good on the outside while your hormones are making you a raging you know what on the inside is no longer going to work.  After having my 2nd baby, my hormones don't need any help being out of … [Read more...]

Dry Skin Moisturizer with Shea Butter

I've been making face cream for my mother for a while now, but my "experiments" are never moisturizing enough for her skin.  She gets dry patches on her cheeks and getting a cream that addresses that issue has not been easy.  I have made over 10 different formulations trying to get something that works for her!  I finally did it-I found a concoction that is nourishing and thick enough but not greasy!  With winter coming, we all get a little drier.  With heaters in our homes and cars skin is … [Read more...]

DIY Allergy Relief Balm

Fall is around the corner and with the falling leaves and cooler air, allergies seem to come on with a vengeance.  Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint are powerful essential oils that combine to make a healthy, easy remedy for sniffles and sneezes!  Together they create a strong antihistamine and reduce inflammation.  So I thought why not make a salve of it?  At my home allergies run rampant.  Before I met my husband I had 4 cats and I would have continued to add to my menagerie if my fiance at the … [Read more...]

DIY Pumpkin Pie Lip Balm!

Today it's cloudy..... It hasn't been cloudy in over a month, much less rained.  It's mid September and we are still in the 90's, so anything that resembles the coziness of fall inspires me!  I decided to experiment with lip balms today!  I ventured outside my usual essential oil route and "infused" my oils instead!  This turned out to be really simple using tea bags!  I used grapeseed oil as my base because it is odorless.  I found my Pumpkin Spice tea at target. Pumpkin Pie Lip Balm 1/4 cup … [Read more...]
