Awe pumpkins…….Isn’t fall/holiday season over run with Pumpkin recipes? Well, I’m ok with that-the benefits of pumpkin are immense. Holiday season is fast approaching and many of us have friends and family coming to town along with a bevy of holiday parties and family functions to go to. Wouldn’t it be nice to start exfoliating our skin and infusing it with vitamins and antioxidants so your skin looks noticeably younger?? I think so!
This is a super simple recipe for a scrub that can be used 2-4 times a week. You can use it all over your body or just your face. The benefits of pumpkin can do wonders for your whole body!! All you need is a pumpkin or a can of pumpkin, raw honey, and sugar.
DIY Pumpkin Scrub
2 TBSP Sugar
Mix all ingredients together. Gently rub on skin. Rinse with cool water and tone and moisturize as usual. This scrub can be used as your cleanser. Honey has wonderful cleansing properties.
This mask works well for all skin types. If you are experiencing acne or have wounds on your face, a scrub can be too irritating. Just doing the mask without the sugar would be a better option for your skin. Exfoliating can be irritating to the skin. Be very cautious of how your skin feels while you are exfoliating. LESS IS NOT MORE in this case. You can damage your skin by exfoliating too much or too hard. I promise if you gently exfoliate every other day you will see softer skin at the end of the week. No need to over do it.
