This Year’s Halloween Moments….

Fall is my favorite season!  There's just something about cold nights, fires in the fireplace, chili and piles of scary movies!  In case you don't know, the name Jenni Raincloud was given to me by a friend due to my love of Halloween, scary movies and thunderstorms.  Funny enough, I didn't really start this blog with the intentions of being a natural beauty blog!  I wasn't sure what I was doing but wanted a place I could organize ideas and pretty things.  I say all that to say, I live up to my … [Read more...]

Citronella Beeswax Candles

Bug season is officially upon us and it's time to open up the arsenal.   I live in Oklahoma and my usually painfully dry state is now swamplands.  I have standing water in my backyard!  It's crazy!  More rain is on the radar and the fleas, mosquito and ticks are laughing their fat little asses off at the girls and I scrambling around like lunatics trying to shield ourselves from all the winged creatures feasting on our blood!   I'm not even going to mention our poor dog and cats! Last year … [Read more...]

Dye Your Easter Eggs Naturally!

I'm so excited for this post!!!  My daughters and I have been experimenting in the kitchen this week.  First, it was the beeswax lotion, and now it's naturally dyed Easter eggs!!  There is loads of info. on making your own egg dye all over the internet so I figured, this is the perfect project to tackle this year.  Every time I start experimenting it's a gamble.  You just can't ensure that you won't be wasting your time and money.  Let me tell you, this project did not disappoint!! First, … [Read more...]

Gorgeous DIY Terrariums….

I LOVE having plants indoors.  There's something so peaceful about it.  I've always leaned more towards succulents but recently I've been dabbling with water loving plants.  Water loving plants work perfect in glass containers because there is little drainage so it helps create a humid environment for shade and water loving plants. Terrariums recycle their moisture.  If the right humidity balance is reached, a terrarium can go as long as a month or more without watering, especially a … [Read more...]

DIY Soy Candles

I love candles. There is something very therapeutic about burning them. Of course candlelight is THE most flattering lighting a girl can possibly find! I literally can spend a fortune on candles. So, you probably see this coming.... most candles are toxic. Like some are as toxic as 2nd hand cigarette smoke. UGH. There's lots of info. about how toxic candles can be, mainly paraffin candles. I really don't feel like regurgitating that info. cause it's a snore and it's no fun! If you'd like to … [Read more...]

Create Your Own Art with Smoke Balls!

I am all about filling my home with my own art.  For one reason, I'm cheap.  For another reason, it's my home-it should reflect my family and I.   Don't get me wrong-I believe in other people's art-it's often a glimpse inside someone else's world, but making beauty from scratch is so rewarding! A few weeks ago I ran across a home tour from one of my fave blogs, A House In The Hills.  In the bedroom was this jaw dropping picture of pinkish/orange smoke among a rocky/sandy terrain.  The pop of … [Read more...]
