Baby on Board or Not, You’ll LOVE This Tea!

This is kind of a random post but when I find something that is amazing I always want to share the find! Plus this will give me a chance to open up a bit about my pregnancies and natural births. When moms to be have zero complications and are practicing a healthy lifestyle, I am an advocate of home birth. Both my daughter's were born at home and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I believe it's a woman's choice to decide what is right for herself and her baby so I understand when people … [Read more...]

DIY Talc-free Baby Powder

When my first daughter was born, even though I had had a home birth, I was not up on ridding chemicals from my daily routine.  Being new to changing diapers, I showered that baby bottom with Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder.  I mean, let's face it-diapers are gross.  Stinky bottoms are remedied with powder.  No powder=smell, even after you've thoroughly cleaned up after a poo.  Due to unhealthy talc-making your own is a perfect option.  It's cheap, fast and couldn't be easier! Just a quick … [Read more...]

How to Treat Croup Naturally

My oldest daughter has come down with croup-it's the second time this winter.  The first time she got it I wasn't prepared.   She's never sick, then pre-K started in the fall and BOOM-we are all sick ALL. THE. TIME.  So far we have been able to treat our illnesses naturally and haven't gotten so sick that a doctor was necessary.  My aim is to keep it this way!  This post will give you an easy protocol in treating upper respiratory issues as well as croup.  I had a go at making my own sore throat … [Read more...]
